Dr. Stephen Charles Schwartz, MD

Dr Schwartz is arrogant and patronizing and acts like a spouse's question is stupid. The worse thing is that my spouse passed away after 1 year of treatment although Schwartz said he was doing good

He is the most arrogant jerk I’ve ever met. Treated me like a child, yelled at me talked down to me and let me know how much knowledge he had!! The one thing he didn’t do was explain what was going on or how to fix it!! Went to a Beaumont Doctor that was way better and resolved my minor issue!! Would not recommend this guy!!

Bottom line, go somewhere else! This doctor is horrible

This man is the most arrogant, disrespectful, rude person I have ever met! I would never recommend this a@*#hole to anyone not even my worse enemy! Please go somewhere else, don’t put yourself through this mans berating ways.......he is AWFUL!

I have been seeing Dr. Schwartz for appro. 16 years. He is the most caring, patient dr. I've ever know. He takes as much time as needed to answer all of my questions and in terms that I can understand. He always holds a nice conversation with me before the exam as well. Wish he could be my overall dr. I always tell him I'd rather see him than a dentist and that's saying something for an oncologist.

I find Dr Schwartz a very caring and knowledgable Doctor and he focuses on your problem. He is very direct with your situation and tells you your options

We saw Dr. Schwartz for consultation regarding a type of gastrointestinal cancer. He came with rave reviews for his knowledge & familiarity with recent clinical trials/medications. I would give him high reviews on intelligence. However, his bedside manner was horrible. Very blunt, cold, all business. In dealing with patients facing a terminal cancer diagnosis, although the outlook may be grim, there is a better way to deliver that news than what we experienced. He didn't seem to show any compassion for the situation. Granted, he may deliver bad news on a daily basis, but we would've hoped to have had him show an ounce of caring. Delivered the bad news, told us there was really no hope and told us to schedule a follow-up appointment. Needless to say, we didn't. Didn't like the 3 nurses at the nurses' station complaining about their patients in the open either. Could've done without that. Our family has many physicians in it, so we have high standards for how medicine should be… practiced. Sorry to DMC, but can't say we were impressed with the oncology clinic.
