Dr. Stephen Charles Smith, MD

I have been a patient for over 30 years and always found him to be helpful, attentive and genuinely interested with my health issues. He does take his time to answer your questions - which is key when you have a chronic or life threatening illness. The problem is not with Dr. Smith but the extensive wait times when calling the HIMG facility. Realizing I am not the only patient, insurance company or another physicians office phoning that needs information as well - helps to tolerate the wait. When I am in contact with his office - Dr. Smith and his staff are very efficient to provide much needed information to myself or Insurance Companies. I trust him as my doctor - he has always had my well-being as a priority and is respectful and professionsal.

Wait times at HIMG are tiresome. Cell phones in the waiting room add to the misery. Once your name is called, you spend another long period in the exam room before your Doctor gets to you. Hire more help or schedule fewer patients folks. My blood pressure always soars when I am at HIMG - hence I am prescribed more HBP meds.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Smith for many years. On one occasion he saved my wife's life by his early diagnosis. He has been proactive with her diabetes and refers us to specialists when he feels they are necessary. We will continue going to him as long as we can.
