Dr. Stephen Craig Spain, MD

While I am not a current patient of Dr. Spain, I was for many years. He talked me into taking Lexapro after losing my husband to help with grief. He didn't monitor it. Within days it started having bad side effects and my life was destroyed within a month. Lexapro made me crazy!! Worsening depression, racing thoughts and I sold everything I owned while medicated. On the way out of my appointment I told him I have a beautiful home and it will be okay. I had no plans on moving. I live across the street from a doc of 40 years. She said that Lexapro is a good drug, but all these drugs need to be monitored and always followed patients starting them. Because he didn't, my life is shattered completely. He also didn't follow the hospital's advise to check my husband's adrenal glands after he got released for a different reason. Four months later he was dizzy. Another month later we found out he had three brain tumors and emergency surgery. Three weeks later he was gone. Had Dr Spain checked,… we might have had more time with treatment.

My family has been seeing him for years and he is the most professional and caring physician I know!!
