Dr. Stephen Kenneth Sponagle, MD

Our first few appointments were not the smoothest but, after getting to know each other better we haven't had any issues since then. If I'm unable to see him and or I am out of my meds he always promptly returns my calls and takes care of me for whatever I have issues with. I am glad I waited it out in the beginning and didn't find someone else. He has helped me through some tough life experiences that I feel others have judged me for.

Has a bad temper. Does not treat patients with respect.

With regard to psychiatric care, Dr. Sponagle can become very frustrated it seems and even outright angry when one does not agree with him 100%.I found him very difficult to work with and this feeling was shared by other patients he was treating. He actually yelled at me, which another patient overheard and felt that was inappropriate of him.I heard him exclaim out loud on a unit, "Oh, Jesus Christ".I do think he is intelligent and knows his stuff to a certain degree, but his attitude and personality are such that I would see no reason to select him as other psychiatrists out there possess both good manner, caring and knowledge.

Where to start, after being in a major car accident on 94 I have been on a regiment of pain drugs. To follow this I was hit by a semi in 99 that left me with sever muscle pain and headaches that added more perscription drugs.To yet another recovery to a normal for me I was involved in yet another accident that left me with ,ore surgery then increased musculae and skelital pain thinking this was going to be the way it was going to be I was asked to take a vitamin drip. Now the headaches are gone I am sleeping better and have more energy. The best thing about it is I have not needed a pain pill to make it through washing dishes. Thank yopu so very much for letting me realize there is a better normal that I can achieve.
