Dr. Stephen Prange Striegel, MD

Streigel has the bedside manner of a frustrated garage mechanic but not that of a doctor! He hates answering questions & spends minimal time with patients! In 2016, he did an Endarterectomy on me & clipped my vocal nerve, paralyzing one vocal cord! He wouldn’t give me anymore of his time to ask him questions about what happened, denied any problem because thinks he’s above that! I had to ask his nurses for replacement dr. To do follow up! His arrogance is undeniable!

This so called Dr Was so rude I will not even have a Test he ordered because he would not even listen to how I was feeling and all my symptoms, diagnosed me without even barely touching me, so why have a test done for something you did not go to see him for. And I will not go back to him so why have test done he ordered .

Dr Striegel is the worst surgeon ever I do not recommend him when he has to check on his patience while being in the hospital he literally just stays in for 30 seconds and leaves he doesn't even check anything if I could give him a zero star I would

Very satisfied. Had emergency abdominal surgery. He did a great job and I would recommend him to anyone.

I was admitted in hospital May 2013 for left stricture in sigmoid colon,due to diverticulitis with abscess. I am 54 yrs. old, no other med problems. I read about his bedside manner, or lack of, his bedside manner is not what I wanted or needed. I needed a Dr. who tells it like it is and has a plan on how to fix it. that's what I needed and wanted and that's what I got. And I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon, surgery a success and I am home healing. As for as his bedside manner that came with my healing process, and his staff I was very comfortable with when I had my appointments. thank you for everything!

Dr. Striegel installed a catheter in my mom's chest for kidney dialysis access. He didn't have the greatest bedside manner, but the surgery was a success and I would recommend him.

Be careful going to this doctor! My internist sent me to him and he dismissed my symptoms and sent me on my way. I was finally diagnosed later by another doctor with Stage 3 colon cancer. If he isn't bad enough his staff is rude.

Very patient with my elderly mom and has performed a few surgeries for better blood flow. He has been successful each time and shows genuine care for her. He has a great bedside manner and does a good job explaining procedures. I would highly recommend Dr. Striegel for vascular surgery.

I am convinced that Dr. Stephen Striegel saved my life. Due to complications from mononucleosis, early one morning my spleen ruptured while laying in bed. I was in excruciating pain. My wife drove me to the hospital, I told the ER nurse I suspected a ruptured screen. The staff was skeptical, until they took my blood pressure. As I laid on the ER bed, IV's and various fluids were suddenly hanging overhead. The ER Dr. told me I was in trouble and surgeon had been called. About 30 minutes later I met Dr. Striegel. He got up, dressed, and drove to the hospital in record time.The next day I was in ICU, and Dr. Striegel, checked on me he told me that was a very close call. I asked him how fast he had driven to the hospital and he just smiled and said. "the lights were with me."He did a fantastic job and there is no doubt in my mind that he saved my life. Just saying "Thank you" doesn't seem to cut it.
