Dr. Stephen Paul Taylor, MD

This is the first in this country where I go to a place and I felt I'm going to a real doctor, real facility ,and spotless clean place- he is very intelligent, humble, listens to you-- and I felt a good aura around him- and above all he is target specific- thank you god for doctor Taylor- medical-- this is what you should be hiring real doctors like him -- you know how hard to find a good doctor or a specialist when you are in America, let alone having medical -- is like hitting a lottery ticket - and he is your fortune from heaven .veronique

I came upon the YouTube video of Dr. Stephen Taylor after two visits to his office. I must say, his demeanor in the video was not consistent with that of my own experience. The second visit was an analysis of a MRI of my prostate taken on recommendation of Dr. Taylor himself. I have no reason to doubt the accuracy of interpreting the MRI images, Dr. Taylor is a verifiably seasoned practitioner. My indisposition is rooted in the absence of the self-professed qualities to ‘listen’ to ‘empathize’. When a doctor delivers a diagnosis informing his patient he has a 70% chance of prostate cancer without contextual explanation or qualification, it’s traumatic as a first experience. It did not allay what would be a natural reaction of fear and apprehension. Additionally, I sensed a slight impatience and unwillingness to answer questions-which I was admittedly ill-equipped to ask, having no prior experience with any trace of prostate cancer. I was not made to feel I was in a setting… conducive to inquiry and dialogue with someone who conveyed a genuine sense of caring. However unintentional, Dr. Taylor’s delivery seemed devoid of realizing the psychological impact of relating this to me in such a matter-of-fact manner. It was the second visit in which I found Dr. Taylor’s comments relating to my condition and outcome perfunctory. I have no reason to doubt Dr. Taylor is highly regarded for his professional opinions and surgical skill-few if any patients are so equipped. The absence of any personal connection has stayed with me. Perhaps upon reading my review, Dr. Taylor will be reminded of the demeanor he convincingly portrays in his promotional video.

From the time I walked into Dr.Taylor’s office for the first time and after my RP surgery Dr.Taylor was just amazing. His experience and state of the art equipment is a win/win for anyone thinking about RP
