Dr. Stephen E. Vandenhoff, MD

I and my family are all patients of Dr Vandenhoff. He's a great doctor. He's patient. He listens. He shows pros and cons of certain treatments and medications. The includes us in his decision making for treatment. I value him as a doctor. He's wonderful.

He cares a great deal for his patients.

I saw Dr. Vandenhoff because my doctor was busy. His questions showed knowledge and concern. After the visit he contacted 2 of the specialist I was seeing to get their opinions re a med. I don’t remember any doctor going to such lengths for me or a family member. . Thank you again Dr. Vandenhoff

At 74 years of age, I have had several GP's over the years. Been with Vandenhoff for 3 years. He has been excellent, very competent, very good with figuring things out. Doesn't hesitate to recommend specialist when needed. Really listens to me. I like him. Doesn't get personal or chatty, that can be off-putting to some, but I don't mind it given how good he is.

If you know what is wrong with you, he can prescribe the médicine you need. If you don't know what's wrong with you, he certainly won't figure it out. After seeing him 5 times for different problems over the last 2 years, I can tell you he never once helped me. And my husband suffered horribly for 3 weeks with an affliction he did not even try to diagnose. Once we knew what it was (because he caught it from a family member whose doctor did diagnose it), we were able to get the medicine he needed. Maybe he tries a little harder if you're under 60, but for us, he simply has no ideas and doesn't seem to care. He smiles a lot, but that does not help us.

Took my son in a couple of weeks ago for an ear infection. He did really well with my son. My son liked him a lot. He seems good with kids. Easy to get an appointment and didn't have to wait too long in office. Would recommend.
