Dr. Stephen Andrew Welsh, MD

I probably could of done better on self treatment.enough said... If I could have left 0 stars I would of!!

I went in to see Dr Welsh for a sinus infection, severe sinus headache, severe cough and flu symptons. I have these issues every every year and my regular dr gives me a Zpac antibiotics and it helps starting in 2 days. Welsh would not give me anything for any of the symptoms. Just to note, right before I was seen I heard him say in the hall, let me see this patient real fast first. What does that mean? let me get rid of this guy? Anyways, my headache is so bad that I cannot function, sleep,or work. I needed something for this if anything. He would not prescribe me anything for the cough, sinus pressure. He just gave me a flyer for NeilMed sinus rinse. Really??? Will never go to this guy again. If you are looking to get relief from Real pain, don't see Dr Welsh. Extremely disappointed. I am not going in the following day to see someone else so that I can at least function a little bit.

I'll start by saying that he is a nice guy, and that I do believe he cares. However, I had a horrible experience with him as my dr. He basically argued with me that he knew me better thank myself (after the second time we ever met) and refuses to do anything that you would personally like to do and believe would work best for yourself, and will ONLY allow what he believes you should do. You have no say in your treatment, only what he thinks best. He literally argued with me for an hour about this. Trying to diagnose his patients like a therapist. He acted more like a bishop council meeting vs a dr. Appointment. Comes off extremely self righteous as well. It was very upsetting to me that he treated me like I didn't know myself and only he knew what was best for me. He refuses to do anything that he himself doesn't deem moral or ethical. Regardless of your beliefs and needs. Bottom line, if you don't like being told what your only option (his) to do, then go to a different dr. But if you… like arguing about who knows you better, small minded, his way or the highway treatment, than this is your guy!

Dr Welsh is very thorouh in tests and concerned about the health of his patients.
