Dr. Stephen William Wener, MD

Met Dr Wener last week at Lee County Clinic. Caught one of the days he is there and lucky me. Liked him right away. He just called me this evening at home to see how I am doing. I am impressed.

I was one of Dr. Wener‘s first patients at the Ft. Myers and later Lee County Veterans Clinic more than 20 years ago. He was my primary care physician. He is one of the finest men in his profession I have had the pleasure of dealing with. He was always professional, thorough, probing, inquisitive, exacting, tenacious and caring. His diagnoses were always spot on. His follow-up was always quick and frequent. He made you feel as though you were his only patient. His dedication was well known to his patients and peers. Even though retired he still returns to the clinic periodically to keep up with his former patients such is his interest and dedication. He is sorely missed by this old vet.

He is semi retiring and will only be at VA a couple days a week. Not looking forward to his replacement.
