Dr. Stephen A Williams, MD

I met Dr. Williams on Thursday. He seemed rushed but explained things well. He instructed me to get labs done ASAP on that day so he can get me started on hormone suppressants right away. I had to cancel two work meetings to comply. After the lab draw, I called Dr. Williams office to let them know that the estradiol lab would take 3-5 days to post a result. They put me on hold to advise Dr. Williams and got back on the line and told me that was ok and although Dr. Williams is on vacation, he will get the lab and will write the prescription, if my labs indicate I need the hormone suppressants. Yesterday, Monday, Cody called me with my lab results. I asked him if Dr. Williams would be calling in a prescription. He said Dr. Williams said it could wait until he returns next week. I reminded Cody of what I was instructed and that I didn’t think it was ok to wait. Why would I be asked to get the labs right away to get started on the medications only for Dr. Williams to say this because he is… on vacation? Cody said he would message him about it and let me know if he responds. I advised Cody I would need to move my care to another doctor if he chose not to follow through within a couple of days. I honestly don’t feel like my care matters enough to them so, I went ahead and moved my care to another doctor, with higher overall ratings.

I would highly discourage anyone from establishing care with this provider. He is insensitive, does not offer compassionate care, and is very egocentric. His office staff is no better. Either he is never available or his office staff is the gatekeeper. Additionally, billing practices are questionable. I was billed for almost two thousand dollars after Medi-Care payment. Once I contacted Medi-Care and asked for a review my out of pocket was only $8.00. Really disappointing experience when one is facing a life-threatening illness. If you are looking for compassionate, family-centered care where the patient experience is the priority this is not the provider for you. One star is far too generous.

I only know two of Dr Williams patience, one a good friend and the other a relative. He told both of them to go home and get their things in order. We'll both of them got second opinons from specialist in their type of cancer and both are still alive 5 years later. Can't help but wonder how many people he has sent to an early grave. He has no compassion or empathy for his patients. He's only in it for the money so he can work on his real priority which is his wine business. I strongly suggest you get a second opinion on anything he wants to do. Calling this clown a doctor is an insult to good doctors.

Dr. Williams saved my life. For that I am eternally grateful!

Dr. Williams & his staff are professional,personal and caring.They greet by your first name after your initial visit every time. This might sound odd to most people but I looked forward to my chemotherapy treatments!

I feel Dr Williams is up to date on his profession and has a very easy way of explaining things to you. Always answers my questions. Never rushed my visits and never waited until tomorrow for action. I give him a 10+ for his fast acting that I feel saved my life. He has a 10+ staff with him and I have recomend him to many including my family. I look forward to my visits.
