Dr. Stephen Zeller has been an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Topeka, Kansas since 1985. He attended the University of Missouri in Kansas City (UMKC) for two years, then served in the United States Navy from 1971-1973, receiving an honorable discharge. After two more years of undergraduate study at UMKC, Dr. Zeller was admitted to the UMKC School of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school in 1980, Dr. Zeller was accepted into a general practice residency at Leavenworth VA hospital for one year. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training  at UMKC in 1985. Dr. Zeller received his certification and became a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1987.
Dr. Zeller is a past president of the Kansas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Topeka District Dental Society, and Heartland Dental Study Club. He has published articles in the  International Journal of Oral …and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Missouri Dental Journal. Dr. Zeller has lectured on various topics in oral surgery at many different meetings including the Kansas Dental Association, where he spoke on "Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office". Dr. Zeller is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Kansas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association and the Academy of Osseointegration. He is also an active member of the medical staff at Stormont Vail Medical Center.
Dr. Zeller is on the board and volunteers for the Donated Dental Services program. He also volunteers for the Marion Dental Clinic and the Topeka Rescue Mission. Dr. Zeller is also involved with the annual Kansas Mission of Mercy and has served at numerous dental missions in Mexico, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. Dr. Zeller's wife, Kathy, works at the office. They have three daughters and one son.
