Dr. Steven Forrest Atlas, OD

Years ago I went here because it was walking distance from my office. It was the most expensive eye exam of my life, which did not include glasses prescription. I had to spend over 200$ just to have contact exam (no glasses prescription as I found out that was extra after the fact) which took over an hour and was mostly Dr. Atlas just lecturing me on politics, who to vote for, very little time spent examining me. I just wanted my eyes examined and had never met him in my life, so we are not friends. The actual eye part took no time, but it was a long ordeal given his need to read news articles aloud to me while I'm trapped in a chair. Afterwards his staff took me in another room before they would give me the prescription, doing a hard sell to purchase contacts from them. That was a mistake. He changed my prescription so dramatically I immediately felt sick with headaches and felt off once I left the office, but had already bought a year worth of contacts that couldn't be returned. I… called his office back within a day to see if I could come in or to see if I could cancel contact order. Never returned my calls - EVER. Then I had spent so much money on contacts I just went with it (over $800 in at this point) but regret not just immediately throwing away the money and trying another eye doctor. I still regret it to this day years later. His office still calls me to get me to buy things, but what bothers me most is that every time they call, they are so rude and nasty. Maybe I had an off day or maybe bizarre experience because he has so many positive reviews but I still regret going here and I just got call from his office today where they treat me like I owe them a favor and demand I come back in. I have asked them to stop calling me each time and told them I had a very negative experience, but it will never stop.
