Dr. Steve Cristo Christos, DO

The most unprofessional and u helpful doctor I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I’ve seen him twice now in the emergency department and both times, he acts like he would rather do anything else but his job.

I came into the ER 2 days after fainting and my head bouncing off a toilet seat and into a wall. I was having horrible headaches like I've never had before and was worried about a concussion. This doctor walked in and said "I didn't need to come in for a headache since it had been more than 12 hours" as if that was common sense. Said he wasn't going to check my head because a CT scan can cause cancer. Then told me not to stand up so fast (which is not why I fainted, and I told him that several times). So he followed it up with if you feel dizzy just sit down. I told him another doctor had referred me for tests because of the fainting but since im uninsured and have to go through county it will take 6-8 months, and since the fainting had become more frequent I didn't want to wait that long. He chuckled and said welcome to America. Discharged me without so much as an aspirin but made sure to send me a $700 bill directly from him (not the hospital) and of course HIS bill cannot be covered… by hospital finical aid. Never in my life have I had ANY "professional" speak to me in such a way, and he did it in front of my mother and friend next to me, while the nurse was discharging me. Even the nurse apologized for him after he left and sent me a card the next week saying she's sorry they could not do anything for me.

I came in the emergency room with my five-year-old son Gabriel... complaining of shortness of breath and severe chest pain dr. Christo Was very concerned about Gabriel Even though he’s not for pediatrics Dr. Christo Was very concerned about Gabriel going above and beyond to find out what was wrong with my son while other doctors didn’t think it was a serious situation Dr. Christos New otherwise he is a great doctor he sat down and talked to us to try to get a better understanding of what was going on with my son My son is five years old and laying down he had a heart rate of 180 Dr. Christos I knew that there was something wrong with him He did everything he can to help Gabriel he called a bunch of favors trying to get Gabriel in the best doctors Hands And he did he was supposed to leave and he stayed longer in the ER with us he contacted Dr. Marc Ovadia A pediatric specialist for the heart And got him transferred through ambulance at Lutheran general he was… diagnosed with Tachycardia And if it wasn’t for him we would’ve never found out what was wrong with Gabe He was very devoted caring I recommend him he is very good at what he does and will do overtime to find out exactly what is wrong and how can he help .....he is a great dr and I wanna thank Dr Christos all wall my heart ??
