Dr. Steve Zohair Kallabat, MD

Dr. Kallabat has been my extended family’s doctor for years. My brother who is a doctor and myself, a nurse, think the world of him. He’s extremely thorough, intelligent, listens, and cares without any arrogance. His office staff are friendly and very prompt in getting preauthorizations from insurance companies. I would highly recommend him!!

Not one to ever write reviews but the staff at this office are the dumbest most incompetent people I have ever come across in the world.

Dr. Kallabat is a kind and caring Doctor who treats his patients with respect and dignity. He has been our family Doctor for years and we trust him with all of our medical problems both minor and major. When you go for an appt. you are not just a number you are a person and he remembers you and cares about your problems. We are blessed to have him for our Doctor. You would be hard pressed to find one better:))

I think I like Dr. Kallabat. We never had any major medical issues, though, so can't speak to his diagnostic abilities. He was my child's doctor for several years-a child who has never had any medical issues other than seasonal allergies-so, relatively healthy. I was upset because in calling for a refill for a rescue inhaler-one that had been prescribed regularly, the front desk never had him call me nor refill the prescription-only pressured me into scheduling a recall exam one month too early. When I balked at scheduling the visit too early (based on potentially incurring charges from insurance non-coverage and having no medical complaint), they had the billing office (off-site) threaten me with collections from a balance (less than $100) incurred from the previous recall the year before. I am a medical professional, and I took personal offence that because my child needed a refill (that I eventually filled elsewhere) and I did not want to schedule an untimely office visit, I… was treated like a deadbeat parent. I don't hide behind incompetent staff and billing practices-and I don't deny care/meds based on perceived ability to pay. It shows poor judgement, that he also never returned the call (at my request). That tells me everything I need to know-I did see poor reviews about the office staff prior to scheduling with Dr. kallabat, but until I really needed my child's doctor, I did not see their shortcomings. Evaluation: good if you do not have any medical issues or need refills; bad if you hate having billing discrepancies and strong-arm tactics.

Dr Kallabat is a great doctor. He helped me get rid of a bad rash I had. The only thing I do not like is that the wait time is so long!

My children and I both see Dr. Kallabat. He is a caring and compassionate doctor-who takes the time to actually talk to you about your concerns or issues. I can't imagine trusting mine or my children's care.
