Didn't even make an appointment, because person on the phone, was rude, slurred her words together, couldn't understand her Staff is representative of Management.

Competent, kind, listens to patient concerns. Highly recommend.

He's a nice guy and seems smart, but I don't feel like he cares about my issue or particularly wants to spend any of his time getting to the bottom of it. I was somewhat offended during my second of 4 times seeing him when he suggested that maybe my condition was "all in my head." Um, no, you don't say that to a patient. Also, my issue is a recurring symptom that occurs at least 3 times daily, and he doesn't feel the need to order me for a follow-up appointment any more frequently than every 3 months. So I'm out shopping for a new doc for a second opinion now.

My experience with Dr. Abo was wonderful. He did an endoscopy procedure at Magee Hospital many years ago. He is very caring, smart and compassionate and made sure that I understood everything that would occur during my procedure. He was very gentle. I think he is one of the best gastrointerologist in Pittsburgh. I have recommended him to everyone that I know.

Unwilling to discuss sedation options for colonoscopy and my allergies to same..........very poor medical judgement....on the day of the exam: "you are allergic to this stuff"? no kidding, I told you this in advance.......I will never get a colonoscopy
