Dr. Steven Todd Adelstein, MD

I had bunion surgery and also had a protruding bone correction with this doctor. After the surgery I could tell during healing that the operation had not been successful. Follow up xrays were taken and during one visit he pointed out that he could have shown me a different xray of my foot to mislead me into thinking the operation was more of a success, but hadn't. I think he wanted a pat on the back for not lying! Another time I was crying because the outcome was so disappointing. I had raised my voice but not alot, only because I was crying. He said "I feel like I'm being attacked". It was not an attack, it was a patient that was severely disappointed. Another time he looked at the bone still protruding from my second toe and said I feel like this wasn't so big before!!! It was. I now have a painful cyst on the pad of my foot. Walk, run or jump AWAY from this doctor.

Both my son and myself have seen Dr. Adelstein and he has been a great doctor. Highly recommend for any foot issues. The office staff in the Elk Grove Village office is super nice, too!

I would recommend Dr. Steven Adelstein and the Northwest Suburban Foot & Ankle Clinic to anyone that is looking for an excellent foot doctor! His office staff was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. I had an in-grown nail that was bothering me, and it required careful attention. To that end, I was looking for a foot doctor with good ratings who could see me quickly. His nurse could tell I was anxious, and she fit me into the doctor's busy schedule within two days. I was seen by the doctor within 10 minutes of my scheduled appointment time. He was very thorough and extremely attentive during my office visit. He made me feel at ease, and before I knew it, he was finished. I didn't feel a thing. Also, I was in-between jobs, so I did not have health insurance at the time. I'm sure Dr. Adelstein took this into consideration, and he charged me much less than his normal fee for my procedure, for which I was very grateful. Simply put, I think he is a fine physician. He is… compassionate, knowledgeable and caring. I will go back to him whenever I need a foot doctor. I had a very pleasant experience, and I would highly recommend this office!
