Dr. Steve Amoils has been me and my wife’s doctor since 2003. Dr Steve has always taken the time to listen to our concerns and address our wellbeing with a unique East meets West approach. I suffer from chronic neck pain due to disc issues, and the team at AIM relieved the pain with Chiro, Accupuntuce and simultaneously worked with me to find the right surgeon if needed. We are truly grateful to know that we have Dr Steve and all the folks at AIM in our corner.

Dr Amoils is very compassionate and spends considerable time in the initial consultation to really listen to his patient's concerns and symptoms. He is not at all dismissive (as many doctors can be) and sincerely wants to learn as much about you as possible so he can develop a comprehensive plan to help you recover your health. Hopefully one day all doctors will return to an integrative medicine approach to treating the whole person.

I have been coming to the Alliance Institute for over 2 years, initially being treated for chronic S/I pain with acupuncture by Dr. Steve Amoils. After the first month, not only was my pain lessening, as an added bonus, 22 years of eczema went away. I now almost never have pain in my S/I. Additionally treatments have focused on low back herniated discs to include acupuncture as well as chiropractic and energy work. Marcia has been very intuitive in the energy area and Dr. Eric has made great improvements with my back. The combination of the 3 services seems to be nothing short of miraculous. The most profound treatment I received was from Dr. Amoils after the death of my father. He performed a special acupuncture treatment to help with my grief and the results have been long lasting (18 months now) and have left me feeling connected to my father in an almost unspeakable way. Dr. Steve is extremely compassionate and intuitive. Coming to this practice has changed the quality of my life!

I have been coming to Alliance for approximately 8 months for acupuncture, chiropractic and energy. My experience has been awesome. Dr. Steve, Dr. Eric and the energy healers are all amazing. As always I feel that I gain valuable advice and assistance in dealing with chronic health concerns during my ace treatment. I feel able to ask as many questions as I want and dr Amoils has consistently developed new thoughts and recommendations to address each concern. I feel that my treatments give me symptom and stress relief while giving me hope of continued improvement.

My experience with acupuncture began with treatment for Peyronie's Disease, and that treatment continues to this writing. Continued gradual improvement has been noted by both provider and patient, and its customary melancholy progress has been completely arrested. As other problems have presented themselves, primarily age-related, they have been successfully treated as well. They include "trigger finger" arthritis, Dupuytren's Contracture, spinal stenosis, and knee joint wear, esp. on each outboard side (also arthritis-involved). My general comment is that whatever the specific problem to be dealt with, and usually there is symptom improvement, I would continue on with acupuncture with Dr. Steven Amoils, for the overall feeling of well-being acupuncture seems to bring. Come for the symptoms, stay for the effect. It should also be noted that these treatments are at my own expense, so I count myself a very satisfied patient. Dr. Amoils is not only an accomplished physician by… conventional standards, but also, I believe, an intuitive healer, and a superb, humane communicator and listener.
