Dr. Steven John Bardwell, MD

Horrible bedside manner and didn’t seem to care. Felt very rushed and made me feel like everything was just in my head.

I was seen by Steven John Bardwell at Texas Health Alliance in North Fort Worth on Aug 25 2019. Whenever I go see a Dr or a hospital I bring 3 sheets of paper with. One tells all the meds I am taking and the Dr who is having me take them, the 2nd sheet tells all the conditions that I have and the Dr who treats me and when the condition was 1st discovered and the 3rd sheet shows all my surgeries and stays in the hospital for the 60 years I've been on this earth. Dr Bardwell nevered looked at any of this info I provided him. When he was examining me he pushed on my pain pump and asked if I had a hernia and I told him it was my pain pump. So he asked why I had a pain pump, and I stated I was a long time chronic pain patient and I have been on a pain pump for close to 15 years. At this point , in my opinion he labeled me a junkie and just pushed me out the door. He ran labs on my blood and urine but didn't even bother to read the lab work. It clearly showed I have a moderate amount in my… urine. I was given a shot of Ativan, a shot of Zofran and discharged while still sleeping and with a blood pressure of 207/93. How the hack this can happen is beyond me. Two days later I was seen by my PCP and was told I have a UTI Infection trying to turn sepsis. This was all shown in all the labs that Dr Bardwell didn't even look at. So do yourself a favor, If ever in Texas in a ER and it's a DR named Steven John Bardwell, plz ask for another dr or leave so this same thing doesn't happen to you. rude arrogant uncaring

Dr. Bardwell has a horrible bedside manner. He is condescending and patronizing when speaking to you about your medical concerns. I am sure he has the medical expertise necessary to perform his job, but when you treat patients the way he does, all of that is lost. I have had multiple encounters with him as a patient, and will never go back to that hospital for emergency care.
