He messed up my paperwork then tried to make me have another appointment Hes a joke avoid

Dr. Bargewell was my doctor as a child. A new doctor came to the Cedar Springs office and I began seeing her. When she transferred to a different state, I went back to Dr. Bargewell. I told him about the pain I was having, and he felt my stomach and looked at my lab results. He told me it was normal for my white blood cell count to be a little high *it never had been before this*. He referred me to one of his nurses to talk about pain management (ibuprofen, and how much of it I should take). He spent a very small amount of time speaking with me and offered no solutions. He offered to refer me to a surgeon, but said he thought it was unnecessary and wouldn't make a difference. The surgeon looked at my labs and ultrasounds and determined that I must have something wrong with my appendix. She did a laparoscopy and found that I had appendicitis and endometriosis growing on most of the organs in my abdomen, which she burned off with a laser. If Dr. Bargewell had been more interested in… helping me rather than getting to his next patient, perhaps I wouldn't have been in pain for as long as I was. He is no longer my doctor.

Dr. Bargwell has been our family dr. for over 10 years always explains things in a way that I understand. His referrals are always on top of any concerns . His office staff very friendly Would recommend to all. John Davis

I had changed doctors several times over a period of years attempting to find someone who took the time to help manage my overall health rather than zipping into the room and giving a quick diagnosis for the reason for that day's visit. Dr. Bargwell has been honest and persistent in helping me be proactive in my own health and taking the time to make sure everything is resolved through followup appointments.

Dr. Bargwell interrupted me when I tried to talk to him and spoke in a loud domineering voice. He was not willing to work with my insurance company and I received conflicting information between the two of them. He did not appear to be knowledgeable about the drugs he had to choose from from the insurance companies choices for their "fail first" project. Gave me unreasonable ultimatums and threatened to terminate his position as my doctor if I didn't agree. A bully. Rude.
