Post graduate training includes a one year General Practice Residency at Moncrief Army Hospital in South Carolina, with over two years serving as Chief of Dentistry at Fort Hunter Liggett, California. Dr. Bates has completed hundreds of hours of postgraduate training in all fields of dentistry including extensive training in orthodontics, oral surgery, computerized dentistry and dental implantology. He has lectured on Practice Management and is currently a consultant and an in-office trainer for Patterson Dental Co., training doctors on Cerec crown technology.
Dr. Bates had a successful twenty year dental practice on Spokane's South side. In 1998 his family received a call to serve a 3 year mission in Arizona for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Upon returning, he established his dental practice in Deer Park.
…Steve is married to the former Julia Anglesey. Both are long time residents of the Inland Empire. They are the parents of seven children and 22 grandchildren. They find enjoyment in dentistry, family, riding horses, church and community service.
