Dr. Steven Michael Bauer, MD

After reading Dr. Bauer staff reviews from present patients how they are and we’re presently treated in the office, I am truly disgusted to have even considered placing my whole family in his care I suggest you overlook this practice as no one should be subjected to this type of treatment.

Dr Bauer has been my physician for about 20 years. He's very busy and his PA covers for him at times. Her name is Jessica Barrientos. Although she is nice, I almost quit Dr Bauer because of her. In a recent bout of illness, Dr Bauer wasn't available. She received my request for help and didn't act on it for 4 days. I don't trust her anymore. Because of her, I suffered so much longer. Dr Bauer's associate, Dr McFarlin is great.

He has been my Doctor for years. Great care Great personally. Best DOCTER ever !

Dr. Bauer is an excellent doctor. He is extremely thorough, professional, knowledgeable and takes his time evaluating and assessing my symptoms. I feel peace and comfort knowing I'm in good hands when I leave his office. Due to his popularity, it is difficult at times to get a near term appointment.

I have specialists who have ordered tests but failed to complete necessary paper work. Dr. Bauer has stepped up and done everything in order to obtain all the tests. He always goes above and beyond to help each patient. And he does it willingly and with grace. The best Doctor I have ever had.!!!

First visit was good, like his PA. Sylvia is a problem he needs To deal with. I've been waiting for them to send clearance for my surgery for over a week. They have been called and nothing seems to help. Due to have surgery in two days and they are still sitting on my clearance for my dr. Fed up with these ppl.

Many times I was only able to see his PA which is wonderful, however they are so busy that you receive short time in visits for explaining and discussing your concerns. You also wait at times very long and then if you are running even over a minute later than the '15 min.' period will have to reschedule instead of being allowed to wait. This has happened twice once being she had an emergency and I was not informed. Second, the traffic as we had a heavy down pour causing traffic to slow down . I want to see Dr. Bauer since he is my primary doctor but that is rarely afforded.

since joining med-first on overlook pky I have been disappointed in the office staff. They are not as personal as the staff that was at his stone oak office. It now takes 2 to 3 calls to get things accomplished

Although my wait time to get in was long, the time the doctor talked with me and discussed my medical condition with me was superb. He was very detail oriented and asked specific questions to help me provide the information he needed.

I see a lot of doctors and make many appointments. Generally the staff is very good or at least civil. The staff here is rude when I ask for someone other than themselves. I am friendly and polite and am always astonished at the level of disrespect I encounter from the front office. Patsy and Dr. B are wonderful, so I am concerned that they allow this problem to go on despite the reviews they receive about the staff. No one seems to be held accountable for their attitude, especially the office manager. Going to a doctor is never fun, but a rude, uncaring person makes things so much worse. If Dr. B was not so wonderful and thorough in his treatment, no one would come back and the staff would be out of a job. Dr. Bauer is worth it, but I never look forward to getting past the front office for anything. I gave one star for the staff, but it would have been four stars if it was just Patsy!
