After seeing several doctors and pursuing several different treatments over the course of four years I finally found Dr. Bennett. I can't begin to tell you what a life-changing moment it was. Our first appointment lasted over an hour and never once did I feel like he was rushing me or trying to get me out of the room. He listened intently and responded with compassion. If not for Dr. Bennett's care I don't know if I would've been able to go on working and caring for my family. If it wasn't for Dr. Bennett I wouldn't have been able to care for my young son and play with him now that he's older. During the course of the several years I was a patient of his he regularly sought out and researched different options for my care so that I could be healed. Dr. Bennett is not just an amazing doctor but an amazing person as well and was truly my savior. That was of course until Greenwich Hospital/Yale New Haven health care system pushed him out earlier this year, leaving hundreds of patients… just like me in the lurch. All they did was send out a letter saying they were closing down all pain management operations along with a small list of other doctors to pursue most of which had absolutely horrid reviews online. I've called the hospital several times to no avail I've left messages and no one calls me back. They simply don't care even in the midst of this pandemic. They don't want to be associated with pain management anymore but the fact is it's a needed part of health care for people who have tried everything and wound up there. It's no ones first option it's their last resort and to take that away especially in a time of crisis is more than wrong it's violating the doctors first oath which is due no harm. They are harming us and they couldn't care less. I hope that Dr. Bennett is able to open a private practice because I know his loyal patients will return. We don't just want him WE NEED HIM! Dr. Bennett, wherever you are I hope you are well and just saying I miss you can't even begin to describe how I feel. I'm so sorry that the hospital pushed you out. You really are an amazing doctor and the world needs more just like you.

I saw you for so many years. How could you leave all of your pain patients in the middle of a quarantine?? I never would have imagined this. You were the most compassionate, kind and empathetic doctor I ever saw. I have literally been bedridden since your departure. The hospital could not care less about us and no one of that list will see us. My life has come to a sad, swift stop and my small girls will suffer also. I hope you are OK personally and I pray you will work elsewhere so we can find you again. God bless. JK.

Anthony Forte Dr Bennett was the greatest Dr I have ever had I would talk to him and he would listen and he was so compassionate he truly was listening and wanted to help I remember my first visit whit dr Bennett I was wracked with pain from a botched back surgery by a white plains surgeon he totally destroyed me never walked again then I had another surgery in the city and they said it was to bad and closed me up my wife took me all over crying al day and night with the pain and then I met dr Bennett and I met him with my wife I hurt so bad I was in tears he said to me I will try my best to help you we tried a few meds and finally got the two that worked and for a couple of years I was able to walk again not a lot but a considerable amount thank you Dr Stephen Bennett will miss you very much and Thank you for giving me 3 years or so God Bless you Anthony Forte

A big part of recovery was ur professional relationship with me & the time & hours of services u rendered to me for over the past 10 year. The empathy, understand & bond & trust gone? Feel like someone has pulled the rug from under me. With this virus & all, anxiety couldn't be high, now this!! Irreplaceable He was one of the few doctors that honestly cared about his patients. I will miss his dedication and always referring me to the right Drs or places for further healthcare management.. IE physical therapy etc. Wow what a misfortune for GHA & his patients too! Dr. Bennett has cared for me for many years. He is very respectful and takes time to listen and understand my concerns and problems. There were times when I needed urgent care and he was always there for me. He is the best doctor I have.

Kind and compassionate, trustworthy and knowledgeable. Takes great care in understanding who you are, how you are managing life with health issues and associated pain.

Dr. Bennett has been my pain management doctor for ten years. He has been deeply involved with all my medical issues and has been the primary reason I have a decent quality of life after numerous total joint replacements, spinal surgeries and severe neuropathic and arthritic pain. He is empathetic and caring. He has helped my surgeons manage my post operative pain through 7 major surgeries and has developed an ongoing pain management plan which allows me to have a decent quality of life given my complicated and painful conditions. I owe him my ability to live an independent and productive day to day life. I highly recommend him and his fine staff.
