Dr. Steven Jon Berman, MD

As a retired Clinical Research Scientist, I worked with Dr. Berman on a number of clinical research studies for two different pharmaceutical companies. Obtaining approval from management for using a study site in Hawaii is next to impossible, due to travel costs (and the bias against sites in "exotic tourist locations"). However, after many "discussions" with management, I was able to recruit Dr Berman to participate in a pneumonia trial. He subsequently proved to be our very best site, enrolling many more appropriate patients than the typical mainland site. Thereafter, whenever we were recruiting physicians for other infectious disease studies, Dr Berman was always my/our first choice. I found his entire staff to be extremely capable & always accommodating. Dr Berman is very knowledgeable in all aspects of infectious disease diagnosis/treatment & he was always a pleasure to work with during our years of collaboration. A patient will be in very capable & caring hands if they choose Dr… Berman as their infectious disease specialist. Having worked with many physicians during my career, I would highly recommend Dr Berman to any patient in need of his expertise. I would also personally make him my first contact if I ever had a reason to seek treatment for myself or a family member. My highest recommendation.

Dr. Berman is very thorough and knowledgable. He is very nice and takes the time to explain things to you. I have gone to condescending doctors in the past and felt very uncomfortable with them.
