Dr. Steven K. Bland
Steven K. Bland, D.D.S., grew up in Estherville, IA. In 1977 he enlisted in the Air Force to begin his under graduate training at Montana State University. He graduated from MSU with a B.S. in professional microbiology. He relocated to Minnesota after getting accepted to the University of Minnesota Dental School and graduated in 1990. After receiving his degree, Dr. Bland chose to serve his country in the United States Navy in San Diego, California. During his active years of service he was awarded the distinguished Navy Commendation Medal for medical care given to wounded Marines and soldiers during the First Gulf War.
Dr. Bland takes great pride in constantly expanding his education through continuing education courses. He has taken expanded courses in cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, ortho-tain, snap on smile and general dentistry. Dr. Bland has been named one of America's Top Dentists by Consumer Research Council of America since 2007. This organization …selects a dentist to its list by the number of continuing education hours in professional organizations.
Dr. Bland is known for his gentle delivery of treatment and overall concern for the patient's well being. He will take time to listen to the patient concerns and designs a treatment plan to address the oral health needs and emotional care for each patient. Recognizing that there are often multiple solutions to dental problems, Dr. Bland's first interest is in understanding the patient's interests and goals. For Dr. "B" after hearing the patient exclaim, "WOW! that's it?", is his greatest reward.
His practical approach to life is extended to patients such that the long term stability and structural integrity of dental restorations is of the highest importance which provides the patient with the most conservative and financially responsible solutions to dental problems.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Southeastern Dental Society and the Albert Lea Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce.
In his spare time he enjoys golfing, weight training, scuba diving, skiing, playing pool, archery, and watching football.. (a Packer fan).
