I had c5, c6 acdf surgery done by Dr Broadway and I am nearly 100% of what I was before my injury...I highly recommend him, extremely confident and professional

The following information was shared with this practice and a "triage" nurse was to review and call me back per the surgical consultation request of primary physician. 25 year history of chronic pain including diagnosed spondy of L4 and 5 w facet fracture, stenosis C5-7 with previous 2 level ADIF and most recently a MRI and diagnosis of C2-5 significant foraminal narrowing, stenosis, and in 2 levels the disc touching the spinal chord. Symptoms of the most severe pain ever experienced and loss of fine motor skills in left hand. Over 4 weeks and the "triage" nurse had not reached out. I reached out to The University of Wisconsin and to the Mayo WITHOUT a referral and explained my history and symptoms above. It took less than 24 hours and both responded and set up an appointment within 5 days due to the severity of symptoms and history. Dr. Broadways office called after 4 weeks and I explained above in attempt to help them with their process and I was on the receiving end of a rude… and arrogant response with zero empathy, apology, etc. I have read other posts about the arrogance of Dr. Broadway of which I cannot confirm or deny as I was never able to see him but clearly some of his staff has the lack of any decency or care a healthcare professional should possess. I understand he is such an incredible surgeon his schedule is full, but I submit he does not have 4 weeks of patients to see with the symptoms that I have and regardless if that is the case or not treating patients the way his nurse treated me I would strongly suggest they review their current process. Perhaps a call to the University of Wisconsin or the Mayo may enlighten this staff on how to treat patients. Patient SATS kicking in 100% as a part of reimbursement cannot happen too soon with the care for patients this practice accepts.
