Dr. Steven Henry Buck, MD

Went to him with chronic sinusitis. Appeared to have two diagnoses at the ready for patients with symptoms that don’t indicate surgery: migraine and TMJ (temporomandibular joint) dysfunction, the latter of which he even has an info sheet from a stack on the exam-room table he may hand you. Insisted on referring to my symptoms inaccurately as “headache,” which I tried to explain was not a headache. Asked leading questions toward a diagnosis of migraine (sensitive to smells, light, sounds) which I am always sensitive to because I happen to have keen senses, all the time. More leading questions about dizziness (tried to explain it was more disequilibrium, or off balance sensation), nausea (no nausea, however; only queasiness when moving around). To sum it up, he did not listen to my actual symptoms, nor did he cast a wide enough net in his questioning, since he was clearly just going for his diagnosis du jour. Was also told that the ENT who surgically removed a cyst that his partner… missed had been a “favor.” It seems there are many ENTs who are exclusively interested in surgery as opposed to actually being a doctor who manages symptoms for patients who need that. Buck is no exception. Just wish they’d be honest and ethical and admit that, instead of giving false diagnoses.

My comment for doctor buck is unspeakable.i was so nervous for my surgery and when I got there as soon as he came into the room I felt a sense of trust and calmness. He has awesome bedside manner at the same time he will tell u exactly how it is. We need many many many more doctors out there like him. Surg was yesterday. I cant wait to see how I heal. I am reviewing now because I know this is a success. Thank you doctor.

I was 37 years old and I started to loose the hearing in my left ear. Over the next few months it seemed to be getting worse. Dr Buck had removed my sons Tonsils, and I was very happy with the way things went. I had a degenertive hearing loss, he offered me a hearing aid, but said in a few years I would probably loose all of the hearing in that ear. He also offered me a surgery option, it could improve my hearing, or it could make it worse. He thought I would have a good outcome. I had the surgery and am so HAPPY to say 20 years latter my hearing in both ears is now still perfect! I went for a hearing test there a couple of years ago and got the good news. He is a great guy, explaines everything. He was great with my 7 year old son and me!

Dr. Buck is outstanding, extremely knowledgable, very thorough and professional. It wouldn't matter how long I had to wait in the office to see him as he is that good at diagnosing. I recommend him to anyone!
