Dr. Steven Ira Cohen, MD

Dr. Cohen was my surgeon for a recent surprise gallbladder removal, and he was great - excellent bedside manner, took the time to thoroughly explain my condition and the procedure, and generally made my stay in the hospital much less nerve-wracking than it could have been. I'm always somewhat braced for busy doctors to be rushed, dismissive, etc., and thankfully my experience with Dr. Cohen was the complete opposite.

Be Very Careful in choosing your doctor! You don't want one who has an attitude and lies about his own messed up procedure. Don't expect to go into surgery and come out with the correct procedure completed.

my husband was diagnosed with a melanoma and was recommended to Dr. Steven I. Cohen. When we first met with him, we were convinced that my husband was in the best hands. He thoroughly discussed everything in the office and walked us through the surgical procedure step by step. Throughout the process, Dr. Cohen and his staff are dedicated and committed to their patients. He makes himself indispensable 365 days per year to all patients and family. His staff is very caring and always available. After 2 surgeries my husband was cured and we thank Dr. Cohen for his expertise and dedication.

I started seeing Dr. Cohen many years ago after my GYN found a suspicious lump in my breast. From the first moment that I met him, I knew that I was in the best possible hands. Of course I was extremely nervous as I walked into my consultation, but his calming and compassionate demeanor instantly put me at ease. He made sure that he spent as much time as I needed to make me feel comfortable. Dr. Cohen is extremely knowledgeable and highly respected in his field. Since that initial consultation many years ago, every visit to his office has been a wonderful experience. Dr. Cohen's staff is fantastic as well. They are extremely courteous and compassionate and always work hard to get you in as quickly as possible. In addition, once in the office, I have never had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes to be seen. Thanks to Dr. Cohen and all of his staff for making what can otherwise be an extremely anxious situation very comfortable. It is refreshing to find a practice that works so… hard at being the best in their field while being compassionate and courteous at the same time!

At a social event Dr. Cohen saw something on my arm that I had been avoiding. He said "I know you don't like doctors but you need to come see me". He and his assistant C. are so compassionate that I wish he could be my primary (alas he is my neighbor). I can't give him a higher recommendation other than I am using him again for another something that my primary noticed.

Breast cancer surgeon for both my mother and myself. Keeps with current research. Truly listens, a phone call away. Staff is amazing! Other doctors always ask who our surgeon is, as results are superb. You will never regret being his patient!
