Dr Steven A. Cortes, MD

Love Dr. Cortes! My 2 year old loves him as well. He is very open with alternative medicine. It would be a challenge for me to find another Dr. of his quality in California.

I just moved into area and have been fighting diabetes my whole life. I working late hours and eating junk I have not been able to controll it. I have met with Dr. Cortes 3 times now and he has helped me get better at understanding how to live with diabetes and DOMINATE it. He has made time to see me every week so he can answer my question in person if anything come up. In one month I have lost 10 pounds with his help and my blood sugars is much better. He is a really great guy and a really great doctor.

I usually don't do this but when I sent a friend to Dr. Cortes she told me what she read in a review but decided to try him out anyway on my recommendation and was also impressed with how he managed the office visit. He was patient, caring, sensitive, and empathetic. All true character points with a doctor. I don't know what happened to "Concerned patient" and I hope everything is all right with you and there have been staff changes at his office, but when I heard about their review I became concerned because that was the complete opposite of what Dr. Cortes has stood for and he has proven himself to be a great doctor to my family repeatedly.

Surprising pleasant, not rushed. A reason for the wait. Very thorough with exam and explanation regarding my diagnosis. I have referred my family members to his care based on my experience.

Overall this Doctor shows no care for his patients and is extremely unprofessional about his position as a doctor of medicine. He consistently failed to do the things that he needed to do as a primary care doctor; such as getting referrals and ordering the correct tests. Not only is this unacceptable for us as patients but the other doctors that we were referred to by him were really annoyed with him not following the basic protocol for a primary care physician. This shows the lack of care that he truly has for his patients and for his job. This has been a horrible experience having him as my doctor and having to deal with his rude staff. I want to warn all other community members about this horrible doctor because no ones lives should be in his hands!
