Dr. Steven M Dater, DDS

Dr. Steven M. Dater
A Michigan native, Dr. Dater has more than 15 years experience in organized dentistry. During that time, he has been an active member of the Michigan Dental Association Board of Trustees, serving as the group's Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee. He is currently President-Elect of the Michigan Dental Association.
A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, Dr. Dater has served as a delegate to the American Dental Association from 2000 to the present. He also served as Chairperson of the state Association's Special Committee on the Young Dentist.
Dr. Dater is a director of the West Michigan District Dental Society where he has served on the committees on Dental Health Education, Dental Education, Adult Dental Services and Membership. He is also former chair of the Young Dentist Forum.
Dr. Dater also served as chair of the Dental Advisory Committee at Grand Rapids Community College and was a member of the Adjunct Faculty in the schools' …dental program. He is a member of the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists and was the recipient of the Michigan Dental Association's Young Dentist Leadership Award in 2000.
Dr. Dater is also a member of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce and Business Network International. A volunteer community basketball coach, he and his wife, Mary, are also active in the lives of their three children, Stephanie, Scott and Samuel. His hobbies include bow hunting, golf, traveling with the family and outdoor activities.
