Dr. Dyckman is very pleasant, kind, and he definitely knows his stuff. He clearly cares for his patients and really wants to help you. Very good experience, wouldn't say anything bad

After years of trying to find a competent doctor, I finally found one

Dr. Dyckman was very nice and respectful to me and my daughter. He spent time with us and tried to understand the situation.

The only issue I TRULY have with Dr. Dyckman' office is his awful receptionist Patty who is extremely rude. It's sad when I have to stop going to a great doctor because the woman gives me such anxiety when I call or come in. She should not be working in a mental health office, especially with that snotty attitude. Beware when you come in.

Dr Dyckman was highly referred to me by two school administrators as being the best in the area. His attention and dedication to both my child's needs and our needs as parents was extraordinary. I sought treatment for my child for over 6 years and saw 8 different specialists during that time. Dr. Dyckman's ability to establish a connection with my child earned trust and comfort. From there, each appointment is used as a benchmark and the treatment is tweaked and enhanced to ensure a better dynamic for our family. As a parent, you never want to hear that something is "wrong" with your child and based on other reviews on this site, it seems that some parents are seeking what they want to hear instead of establish the root cause and work together with a specialist, to help your child.

Dr. Steven Dyckman is a PSYCHOTIC who preys on people with issues, claiming to help and prescribing medication that they don't need and endangering the lives of these people. Patients beware of this man he's doing more harm than good to you and your children. He also is being paid off to say things about you that's not true for a buck with no sham. Please be careful of this PSYCHO who don't give a cramp about you. This is not a joke trust me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr Dyckman is a young but unusually experience doctor who had graduated from top institutions. He can relate to both of my children better than me causing their willingness inspire of the stigma to continue with a therapy on a regular basis. He will hear the input from the parent to a certain degree spending more time with a patient and listening extremely carefully to the language, observing a body language while being a non-judgmental stimulating a patient to â??open upâ??. He is not shy to suggest a hard remedy like getting a part time job before rushing into medication. In addition, Dr Dyckman runs a professional and efficient office having two secretaries who are responsive and helpful. He has a modern scheduling system connected to his smart phone. Leaving a message always results in a timely response. some would say:"so what? isn't it a simple requirement?" Absolutely not! I have been treated by many doctors and in most cases the success of the therapy had been impaired by… hard to deal with secretaries, difficult getting a timely appointment and erroneous billing. Some rather than dealing with a healthcare reality of getting paid by insurance would bill a customer and after 90 days submitting to collections making things even worst for a patient's emotional health. Therefore, if you want a professional help be willing to pay like Dr. Dyckman accepts credit cards, and leaves up to you a submission to your insurance. After all you know better your insurance, and his office provides necessary filled out form for just mailing it out. Itâ??s a win-win situation. He is not compelled to raise the rate by hiring an additional insurance processor. Letâ??s admit in the current broken healthcare system the insurance companies have ways to delay payments blaming their reduced human resources. Some even have a rule of rejecting of a first claim I can't forget especially one doctor Eric L. who is quite known and as many are mostly business oriented and cocerned mostly with your insurance rather than really helping to an obviously sick or disturbed patient. When my solid insurance had a series of late COBRA payments to him he had no empathy at all but rather a rude attitude saying "why don't you come just to pick up medication?!". One of the reasons to a such practice was inability to afford a supporting staff dealing with insurance that becomes a full time job. So my suggestion is to bring your child to a relatively â??expensiveâ?? doctor who accepts credit cards or provides a payment plan. The a doctor will be fully available for the therapy on a timely basis since our teenagers increasingly suffer from various life threatining conditions like a depression that is hard to detect early and may end up tragically. Also, one assessment visit is just a beginning. The real therapy is a long process! Staying with one doctor increases chances for a doctor to â??learnâ?? your child by observing him/her in different situations and catching up early change requiring medication adjustment or a cognitive distortion. Dr. Dyckman sometimes based on the case may conduct a session over the phone. When we had recently a hurricane he had shown shown a dedication by still showing up with a flashlight providing a support and giving new prescriptions. Itâ??s important for me to have a real â??familyâ?? doctor.

After reading the negative reviews for this doctor, I'm shocked. He was recommended to me by my family physician . I saw Dr. Dyckman for a few years, and he was very caring. I liked him so much that I am going to bring my daughter to see him. I know he will relate well to her. I wish he accepted insurance, but that's the only negative I can think of. The people writing scathing reviews must have an agenda

I saw several other docs before I settled on Dr. Dyckman. Not only is the office staff great, but you NEVER wait in this office. EVER. He is always on time. He is very sweet and ccompassionate, but he really knows his stuff, too. I've read some bad reviews on these sites. Funny thing is, they are by the same person, and have been copied from one site to another. How awful to do that to such a good, caring doctor!

I just read these comments on Dr. Dyckman. My daughter has been going to see him for over 4 years. I cannot relate to anything written on these surveys. Dr. Dyckman has always been compassionate and caring. He makes himself available whenever my daughter has needed him or myself. I highly recommend him and have been for many years.
