Dr. Steven Douglas Eggen, MD

I had been going to the office for a few years and started to notice as time went by that the Dr. was being forgetful & rude. In one appointment he was so rude my child asked what did we do so that the Dr would have raised his voice as he did. I immediately changed Dr after that and do not regret the change for a moment. Wished I had changed sooner as the new Dr caught something in time that Dr Eggen should have seen years before. I think its time he retires! Another thing each time I went I had an appointment, and would still have to wait at least 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment to be seen. Then the Dr always seemed in a hurry to see my child,

I just got a creepy feeling from this doctor! he told us what we fed and did with daughter was wrong then in the same breath said she was healthy and advanced for her age! I left there and found another doctor who is amazing! Dr Eggen is a NO NO NO!

Dr Eggen has been my children's doctor for 13 years. He is by far the best pediartritian around. He is thorough, patient, and cares about children. I would highly recommend him.

I have three children that have seen Doctor Eggen for the past 8 years. I have always been MORE than satisfied with the care that they receive. Dr. Eggen generally cares about them, and the office staff are phenomenal!My son was diagnosed with ADHD. I LOVE that Dr. Eggen took his time in the diagnosis and teaches skills not just medication. My son is excelling thanks to his help!

My child sees the doctor, not an assistant. Dr. Eggan is very thorough and it's obvious he cares a great deal about the children. He has been our pediatrician for 6 years. The normal office wait time averages about 10 minutes. Only once was he 45 minutes behind. Another occasion we were told he was behind over an hour, we were given the option of rescheduling. It was appreciated that the office realized the patient's time is valuable too!! He takes whatever time is required for each child -- no rushing to see how many patients he can cram into one day (like many doctors!). He's more like the type doctor I knew many years ago as a chid!We think Dr. Eggan is just great and are happy to have found him.

when my kids were little i they wen to see Dr. Eggen when my son was born and my daughter was 2. My daughter had eating problems because at the age of 2 he said she needed to go on a low fat diet. she was in the 90% height and slightly over the weight. she was not obese and still growing. My husband took it seriously because he did not want her to get fat as a older chile-low and behold she had eating problems because of this. my son went to see him when he was a little older and Dr, Eggen told him he was fat so that is when I changed pediatricians. My son was still growing and i was very mad at this Dr, he my have great reviews although i think it all stems to his children who were obese or over weight. for any DR. to put a child at the age of 2 on any kind of diet is insane. My son was very mad and ashamed. we spent a lot of money as my daughter as a teenager developed bulimia/ anorexia. I was so scared for her when she did not eat and lost way to much too much weight. she would pass… out, push her food around. It is ashame that her young years were ruined by a Dr. I am much wiser after 20 years and now have a 3 year old granddaughter and her pediatrician is wonderful because even if she is slightly above the scale she knows that she will grow-she and all children go through growth periods where they are slightly chunky and then they grow and are thinner. I am not sure if he still is this way-warning never let him put a young child on a diet. Now if children are very obese there are many ways to help as in healthy foods.

I was referred to Dr. Eggen by a friend. He makes my children very comfortable, and knows them by name. Love this doctor!!!

My children have been going to Doctor Eggen since they were born. He has built such a positive rapport with them and my family. We are so lucky to have him here in Brevard county.
