Dr. Elias is director of the Center for Vein Disease at Englewood Hospital. He is board certified in venous and lymphatic medicine and in general surgery and completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at Englewood Hospital.Educating new and current practitioners is the cornerstone of Dr. Elias's commitment to modern vein care and its impact on patient outcomes. He is the founder of the American Venous Forum Fellows Course in Vein Disease, as well as the founder and course director of the annual Expert Venous Management Summit. He is the medical director of VEIN Magazine and the medical editor of the American Venous Forum's newsletter, Vein Specialist.Dr. Elias's clinical interests include all aspects of minimally invasive vein care; he is also committed to procedure development and teaching. He has lectured, written, and taught about vein disease both nationally and internationally. He has been principal investigator/investigator on numerous clinical trials and performed …the first ClariVein procedure on a human. His societal memberships include the American Venous Forum, the Society for Vascular Surgery, the International Society of Vascular Surgery, the American College of Phlebology, and the American College of Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and of the American College of Surgeons. He has been director of the vascular vein programs at the Mount Sinai Vein Center and at Columbia University.

Dr. Elias was courteous, kind, and friendly, listened to my questions, and made me feel at ease. Then we worked out a plan for my future treatment.

Dr. Elias is very condescending and made inappropriate remarks to his assistant while giving me treatment. After enduring that and an unsuccessful vein treatment from Dr. Elias, I called this doctor's office and left several messages requesting appointments for follow up treatment. No one called me back. As a result, my condition has worsened and I have to wait to see a new doctor. The office has lengthened the time getting my medical records further lengthening the process to receive treatment from a new doctor. I recommend visiting a different doctor if you want courteous, professional and effective treatment.

Dr. Steven Elias is an outstanding Vascular Surgeon & wound care specialist with decades of experience. I have always received personal attention from Dr. Elias for my vein problem. Dr. Elias is very down to earth and a doctor very pleasant to speak to. Not only that, he has also surrounded himself with very knowledgeable and caring staff who practice utmost hygiene. I highly recommend Dr. Elias to anyone who is seeking an specialist of his expertise; even if you have to travel long distance to reach him.

A very rude and mannerless man.He didn't even shake my hand when coming in room or say hello.He is condescending and not a doctor I would recommend.

The review below doesn't even make sense. Clearly she miscommunicated with his staff, but to question his integrity is shameful. Dr. Elias is conservative, thorough, and knows all the latest advances. I always felt that my health was his biggest priority as was evidenced many times when he provided follow up care above and beyond what my insurance would pay for. If you have issues with veins, he is the go-to guy. I had horrible experiences in the past with vascular surgeons that did not specialize in veins and dermatologists treating spider veins. He doesn't even push surgery unless it is absolutely necessary. I would recommend him without reservation.
