Dr. Fein and his office staff as well as his staff at Doctor's United Surgery Center are very professional and truly caring. My family and I have been patients of Dr. Fein's for almost 20 years. He takes his time and is super thorough and quite personable.

The first visit we waited 1.15h. to be seen! Second visit -we were there 5 min. before the scheduled time and waited for more than an hour to be seen! There are not too many patients, but why they cannot get there scheduling straight?!

After paying $100 for the prep kit and being up all night in the bathroom my appt. was at 7:45AM where we arrived at the given time. My husband, father and I sat and waited. Around 10:30AM my husband asked what was going on. They said we were on the list. Finally at almost 12 Noon I went to the nurse and asked what was going on. I have already been researching and found out that the doctor is always late. I asked her if he was there and she informed me that he had just arrived. She knew I was very upset and she was very nice and helpful to me. She brought me in the back where I laid another hour and a half waiting. When they finally brought me to the operating room he never even acknowledged that he was present in the room. I had to ask if he was there and he said yes. When I woke up in recovery I was told that the test was nonconclusive . He came in and said "You did not do the prep properly" I told him that I did just as they told me to do but starting the prep at 6PM… the night before the surgery was late. I also had to do the second dose at 2AM and had to be at the hospital the next morning. He knew that I had a lap band and I told him that I didn't think my system had enough time to process. He said well we just have to reschedule. I said, "Not you doing this to me again." I went through 2 days of mental and physical abuse and don't want to ever do the procedure again but I know I need to. I'm just not ready. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone for any procedure.

I came in for my appointment (i arrived 20 minutes early) it took 3 hours to get in to see the DR only to see a PA. Julie is great but.... I was told someone would call me back on Monday or Tuesday to schedule my colonoscopy. Finally called me late on Thursday after leaving 4 messages because no one answers any of the calls - EVER. Schedule the procedure for 24th at Doctor's Hospital. I went online filled out preregistration the same day. Then on Friday at 5:30p.m. I get a call that Doctor's won't take me. No one knew this before now? When did Doctor's notify the office of this? Anyway, they change it over to St Luke's but...……… Dr Fein doesn't go there on Mondays. So not only have I taken the day off for this procedure and lined up a ride, I have paid $60 for the stuff to mix with clear liquids (which is non-refundable). Being as my brother passed away from Colon Cancer, I was hoping this Doctor/Staff would have shown a little more concern for my health. I guess that isn't… part of the plan once you get so important that you work in 3 hospitals and don't have a clue what goes on in your office. I will now be looking for a doctor who actually cares about their patients.

A four wait to finally get called back. I have waited hours and hours. Simply rediculous. Lastly. They could not solve or help in any way my nausea. Worthless and frustrating. Dont do it. Whether you’re going for an appointment or getting a colonoscopy, as my wife did, this Dr always runs late. We were told to b at the facility at 9:00am. We arrived a few minutes prior to 9:00am and they took her back to prep at 9:40am. We waited and waited. They finally came to take her back for the procedure at 11:58am. No explanation of the delay. When I asked why it took so long, I was told “That’s just Dr. Fein. That’s the way he does things”. I would highly recommend you find a different Dr unless you don’t mind waiting for everything with this one

We have been going to Dr. Fein for 17 years because my daughter has ulcerative colitis. Three weeks ago she went to see Julie, Dr. Fein's PA because she needed to go back on Humira injections. She has been on these injections in the past and not uncommon for Dr. Fein's office to prescribe this type of drug. Her pain level is 10+, everyone in the office knows it and no one is willing to do anything but give her (and us) lip service even though they also know she is pregnant. Ii.e., they tell us Prior Authorization has been sent in, Prior Authorization is not needed, a text has been sent to Dr. Fein to find out what he'd like to do, three hours later we call and they say they will get right on it, etc.) They are blaming her for not informing them she needed prior authorization for the drug but have changed it back and forth, not knowing if it has or has not needed prior authorization. The first dose of Humira is 4 injections but only two were called in so CVS had to do an over ride and… my daughter was on line for nearly an hour trying to get this straightened out. The office manager had the nerve to tell her it was her fault because she didn't tell them she had to have a prior authorization but as it eneded up she didn't have to have one on this second prescription. This has been spinning around, back and forth, all the time no one calls either her or us back. My daughter called last Friday 24 times to Dr. Fein's office and no one answered or returned our (her) call. Now today she was informed she is no longer Dr. Fein's patient, she is Julie's patient. Oh no, how can you be a PA's patient? My husband and I have also used Dr. Fein and he is a wonderful doctor but seeing you deal with his staff 95% of the time and they won't let you talk to him, we are done. Sabrina, the office helper, along with Karen, the Office Manager, Eileen, who sends authorizations in (by the way, she gave us her 'personal cell phone #, which was a number no longer in service) all have a part in which we have made our decision. We used to think Dr. Fein was a caring doctor but recently in the past have completely changed our mind. At 8:30 a.m. this morning I called to ask when Dr. Fein was going to be in the office today because I was planning on going in and waiting to talk to him but (of course) no one called me back, either Sabrina or Karen. If you are looking for a supportive office staff, PA and doctor don't go in this direction because this isn't the kind of office you are looking for.

Moved away but in all the years Dr. Fein treated me, his diagnosis and treatment was "spot on". The staff was great and courteous. What has happened based on your reviews from 2016 forward? I always felt the insurance companies short changed him on the $ allowable. There is no better person or Dr. Additionally my wife liked him--she normally doesn't care for Dr's or Lawyer's. Dr. Fein is a really good doctor and nice guy who takes the time to talk to patients, unfortunately his office staff are either incompetent or just don’t care. My wife had a prepayment for a procedure to the office of $400 and $100 to the surgical center. When insurance paid for all, the surgical center refunded within a week but it took 8 months of her calling the doctors office and tons of excuses and no call backs from messages. It took my daughter (who works in billing for another doctor) to call them and explain the law on paying that money back. When my wife went to get the check at the office the personnel couldn’t have been more rude. My wife and I both liked the doctor but we won’t be going back due to his staff
