Dr. Steven R Fischer, MD

Dr. Fischer seems to be a nice enough man at first.The first thing you notice is he is very soft spoken. His weakness as a physician is his inability to recall his patients despite how serious the illness. Also, because he is so quiet he doesn't have strong communication skills.He also seems to be unaware of his limits as a pediatrician. My son saw him for 2 yrs for wellness visits,acid reflux as an infant, and maybe 3 sick visits total in that time. For the standard cold, ear infection he was fine.When my son became suddenly ill and needed extensive testing, ref to specialist,etc the nightmare began. He tried diagnosing him on multiple occasions and then admitted he had misdiagnosed him and yet refused to let us see a specialist. He just kept requesting more testing on his own. Worst of all he forgot that our son was a boy and called him she on multiple occasions when we spoke on the phone to discuss his poor test results. He talked down to us when we asked questions and became quite… rude when we pointed out he had made multiple errors w/our oldest son and then again w/our infant who became ill. He never apologized or addressed the issue at all. Needless to say we switched Dr.s
