Dr. Steven Francis Fletcher

In short, he encouraged me to get an un-necessary procedure while I was drugged up at the hospital. Then he kept me on the schedule as if I hadn't cancelled it and made me feel like I was making the wrong decision. They would have had to go back in to remove a colostpomy bag a month later. I don't think this is an isolated case of Dr. Fletcher performing un necessary surgery's on un suspecting, innocent people. I didn't pursue a law suit and at times feel guilty about this, so I warn friends and family and am leaving this review for others to find.

I think he is an asset to Oroville hospital. Went into much detail about the sugery and what to expect afterward. Gave reasonable expectations. Great bedside manner. Great follow up. Anyone would be very lucky to have him as their surgeon.

Dr Fletcher is an exceptional physician/surgeon. I received a stellar level of care which I did not expect in our small community. My family and I could not have been happier with the good doctor, over multiple interactions with him. I have observed him freely sharing his considerable knowledge with other caregivers (not his obligation), and extend unexpected courtesies to other patients in his care. Competent and dedicated- residents here are so very fortunate to have him choose Oroville as his home.

Dr. Fletcher is a saint. He is patient he took a long time talking telling what had happened and was professional. He is a great man!

I found his bedside manner very condesending and I found that the diagnosis / treatment to be extremely not well thought out. and testing not done in proper order resulting in unneeded surgery. I felt like it was all about the money, not so much the patient.

I don't know what the former rater was talking about; I found that Dr. Steven Fletcher is nothing but honest, kind and courteous. This is very important to me in the doctor-patient arena.
