Dr. Steven James Fowler, MD

Dr Fowler is not only a fantastic brilliant physician but an amazing caring person. He gives us a lot of time thinking thru things before making decisions. We never feel like we are being rushed. Makes us feel special and very well cared for. He has a great personality. One of the last of a dying breed of truly caring doctors...

I saw Dr. Fowler for several years in NY and was devastated when he left. He was always very caring and never made me feel like “just another patient”. He was very thorough and always listen to my questions or concerns.

I found him to be excellent, caring, great surgeon. He corrected my afib.

I saw Dr. Fowler over a period of seven years after being diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome in middle-age. I found him to be a fine doctor with a caring, personable and patient manner who carefully laid out my options regarding whether or not to have an implant and in no way pushed the surgical option on my case. Ultimately, I chose not to have an implant and continued to see Dr. Fowler annually. I will miss his presence at NYU as I continue with my annual checkups.

Stay away from this MD. He is incompetent and uncaring. He makes numerous surgical mistakes and then runs from his mistakes. Something is wrong with Dr. Fowler. He has a horrible reputation and is aggressive when you ask him questions. AVOID him at all costs.

Dr Fowler is an exceptional doctor. He treated my son, myself as well as my brother. We will truly miss his presence at NYU. He was always extremely patient, knowledgeable, informative and had a genuine care for his patients. We thought he went above and beyond.

Smart move for NYU to not have Dr. Fowler practice medicine at this institution. Where did Dr. Fowler go? He is angry, rude, and a poor surgeon. Stay away where ever he goes.

Dr Fowler is an excellent doctor. He is one of the most genuine, caring doctors I know. Seven family members and I all have been his patients for over 6 years and we all feel like he is one of our family. You cannot say that about many doctors. His expertise is bar none. He recently left NYU and we will follow him to his new hospital.

Not sure where Dr. Fowler will land next since he is no longer at NYU. He is uncaring with poor surgical skills. He is quick to blame the patient and never see's his patients after surgery. He does not listen to patients and families and is quick to tell you that he is too busy. Avoid.

Dr. Fowler should not practice medicine. He is abrupt, careless, and dismissive. He lacks compassion and surgical skills. He has no patience and never see's his patients after surgery. Avoid this doctor.
