Dr. Steven J Garlow, MD

This man is rude, condescending and arrogant. Empathy and compassion are not part of his vocabulary. Save yourself by NOT going to him for help!

It is absolutely criminal that this man is in charge of care for so many that are fighting for their lives. He is, without question, the most cold, callous individual I have ever met. He absolutely DOES NOT CARE. When expressing desperation for help, he rolls his eyes, flops his hands on the desk, lets out giant sighs, belittles and comes back with very thinly veiled threats of terminating treatment in the only program of this kind in the county. For a vulnerable population losing the battle with PTSD, major depression and anxiety, his "care" (hostile and horrendous communication) triggers the very darkest experiences of our lives. The treatment he provides is the very last hope for many of us. We are fighting for our lives. Never have I dealt with a human being--in ANY profession--with this level of apathy and cavalier attitude. After reading the other comments, I believe another individual nailed it... I think his attitude serves as a cover for his incompetence and complete… lack of knowledge.

F**k him and his mama. I echo what I saw in another review: if it hasn't already, his malpractice WILL cause someone's suicide.

Forced medications on me, mocked me, and was rude.. Made me stay longer than needed, too...

The most callous psychiatrist I have ever encountered. Doesn't know how to listening to a patient only how to overprescribe meds for them.

Dr Garlow is exceedingly rude. His bedside manner is cold, sarcastic and shows no empathy.

He never made eye contact or listened to me in any way. I left feeling much worse than when I came.

Overall good pysch doc. I would recommend him to a friend
