Dr. Steven is the son of Dr. Sami Ghareeb. He grew up in Poca and Cross Lanes and graduated Cross Lanes Christian School in 1997. He completed his undergraduate study at West Virginia Sta
te College and Marshall University before going on to West Virginia University School of Dentistry, where he graduated in 2004. While in dental school, Dr. Steven met his wife, Shayna, who also graduated in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene. Dr. Steven and Shayna enjoy traveling and attending WVU football games.
Dr. Steven has been instrumental in introducing new technology at Ghareeb Dental Group. He believes that state-of-the-art equipment and techniques are essential in treating his patients with the best care possible. He has special interests in cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, and sedation dentistry, and he has completed advanced coursework in those fields.
Dr. Steven understands the importance of continuing education in keeping up-to-date on the …latest dental research and treatment, and is very involved in local and national professional dental organizations. He is currently pursuing special accreditation in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry, where he already holds several national councilmember positions. Locally, Dr. Steven
is the founder of Young Guns Study Club and in the administration of Kanawha Valley Study Club. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Society of Forensic Odontology, and Virginia Street Study Club. Dr. Steven is a fellow of the AGD.
Community involvement is very important to everyone at Ghareeb Dental Group, and Dr. Steven is no exception. Dr. Steven helps educate others during their dental training by serving as an adjunct clinical professor of WVU school of Dentistry, and by teaching dental assisting students at the Putnam Career and Technical Center. Dr. Steven also helps meet the dental needs of the underprivileged by regularly volunteering at West Virginia Health Right.
Dr. Steven practices mainly in the South Charleston location, but is available for patient treatment and consultations at all three offices.
