I became a psychiatrist after seeing profound effects and improvements in patients on an inpatient psychiatric unit while I was in medical school. I have always found it very rewarding to help patients who are struggling with their illnesses make significant gains improving the quality of their lives. Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is one of the treatments I offer. I have also developed information for patients about this treatment that is published on Up-to-Date.
My outside hobbies and interests include cycling, skiing and coaching sports.
