Dr. Steven D Gillon, DO

For several years I have been dealing with a very serious illness. Last Sunday I spent 11 hours in an emergency room. During this 11 hour ordeal nothing was done to relieve my pain or to tell me what was wrong. The following day was a Monday and I called Dr. Gillon’s office. I was given an appointment for the following day. After a 15 minute consultation Dr. Gillon was able to diagnose the problem. Dr. Gillon sent me home with a sample of medication which I took as per his instructions. I’m feeling so much better. Without hesitation Dr. Gillon is my go to doctor!

Dr. Gillon is one of those rare finds! It is very hard to find a doctor that is not only knowledgeable but also one who is very compassionate and takes the time to listen. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Gillon for the past 5 years. Two years ago, he diagnosed me with a terrible illness, and with great patience and excellent care Dr. Gillon got me through the most horrific experience for which I will always be grateful.?? The office is quite warm and cozy and the members of his staff are professional, friendly, and very helpful.

Dr. Gillon may be one of the world's best gastroenterologists, though despite waiting 3 weeks for my initial appt, I was never actually able to see him. Being a new patient, I arrived 20 minutes early to fill out the necessary paperwork, but was met with a dead-bolted front office door. Eventually, other patients arrived but no one was in the office. After 35 minutes, I left, later to find out that they were in the office..."in a meeting." So much for the patients. But, what was even more vexing, was not an apology was mentioned by the curt & rude office manager on the phone. "So, do you want to reschedule, or not?" And, then offered a date two more weeks in the future. Unbelievable.This is the most unprofessional medical practice I've visited. Like I said, the doctor may be top notch (as recommended by my primary MD) but good luck navigating the horrendous staff. I'm off to find another medical practitioner and staff where I'll feel a lot more comfortable. The one star review is… only because zero stars isn't an option.

Dr. Gillon has been mind and my husbands doctor for the past 20 years and I can not say enough wonderful things about him. Besides being an excellent doctor I find him very caring and truly interested in what is going on in my life. He takes his time to explain things in words I can understand and is very comforting when very serious health problems come up. I would give Dr. Gillon 2 thumbs up and would never consider going to any other dr. unless Dr. Gillon recommened him or her.

Dr. Gillon is super nice and caring. First doctor I found that did not want to just give me an Rx for my symptoms. He actually wanted to find the cause of my problem and resolve it through a change in my diet. So happy I found dr. Gillon!

Dr. Gillon is a caring and knowledgeable MD. He takes the time to listen to his patients and truly cares about improving their quality of life. I am fortunate to have found Dr. Gillon. After only one visit with him i left my original primary GP who had been treating me for over 10 years!

Out of all the doctors offices I've been to in the past, this one was by far the most competant. The office staff is very efficeint in dealing with issues promptly and relaying the messages to Dr.Gillon. Other offices you wait days for a callback from the doctor. He actually spends time WITH you rather than just looking away and writing prescriptions for every complaint! They do almost everything in office which makes it easier than running around to all differnet doctors. Overall I would recommend Dr. Gillon as a primary care or specialist, either way he's an excellent physician!!
