Dr. Steven David Gore, MD

We saw Dr.Gore a number of times for Leukemia treatment for my dad. We were told he was highly regarded in his field. This may be true, but our interactions with him were difficult and frustrating. He made little effort to follow my dad's progress and every time we met with him, it was almost as if for the first time because he had not even read the chart or been briefed on progress before walking in the room. Because of this, he sometimes made errors such as the dose Dad was on or if he was even still in the clinical trial. We often doubted he was making a sincere effort to provide optimal treatment. - I might recommend Dr.Gore for a one time visit about a course of action, but not to have him as your oncology doctor or to enter into one of his clinical trials. We now really wish we had worked with one of Gore's colleagues instead.
