Dr. Steven Robert Hassig, MD

Unbelievably sent us a letter threatening that if my husband didn't reschedule his colonoscopy,scheduled on the wrong date,we have written verification,he would not be responsible for what could go wrong later. He actually made up a supposed symptom that was a lie. Our primary proved this fake symptom didn't exist ! My HUSBAND had a consult,but I was present,he tried to get me to line his pockets for a colonoscopy too !

This doctor bullied me, was disrespectful to both me and my husband, he was demeaning and rude. Also he basically said he could do nothing to help me and offered no diagnosis or treatment. He used crude language and was extremely unkind. I would never want anyone with GI illness to have to go through what I went through on top of being sick. Also, a person told me she went to him for medical treatment was told her GI issues were due to stress, so she should quit her job and go home and have babies.

Would NEVER recommend him to anyone. Horrible in diagnosing problems. It took a doctor from out of town to diagnose simple treatment for husband condition. !!!

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. Very poor bedside manner- downright rude, and made poor diagnostic and treatment decisions.

Multiple visit that have always exceeded my expectations. Wonderful staff. I highly recommend this team.

Dr. Hassig may not have great bedside manner but I'm not going to him to chit chat. He and his wife are excellent! I needed surgery and they both checked on me after. I go annually still and would highly recommend the practice!

Excellent experience every time I go to his office. He was excellent in helping my husband when he was extremely ill. He pulled him through his internal problems. I highly recommend him. He is easy to talk to, very personable and always available. He explains everything and listens to concerns and provides answers. My husband I both highly recommend him.

Dr.hassig and wife are very pleasant and great professional people. They do take interest in their patient. I have been going to them for a long time. Their. Expertise. In gastrointestinal. Is exceptional. I'm so glad have them as my gastroenterologist. Recommend them yo anyone a very satisfied patient "

I met with the doctor himself once, and he was both rude and extraordinarily condescending. Rather than discussing the gastrointestinal problems that brought me in, he walked in, informed me I needed weight loss surgery, and refused to accept no for an answer. 70% of the visit was regarding a surgery I made it clear I was not interested in; 30%, at best, was for the actual problems I came to him for. Not impressed.

Took three months to get in to see Dr. Hassig and I got his wife, the N.P. who belittled me about my weight and sounded like a spokesperson for Weight Watchers. She didn't care about what I had to say and was condescending. I sat in my car and cried for 20 minutes. I'm having my records sent to a different practice.
