Dr. Steven J. Hood:
Dr Hood has been a practicing dentist since 1990, and has extensive training and experience in virtually all areas of dental treatment. After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology, he received his professional training at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He began his career in dentistry as a commissioned officer in the Indian Health Service, stationed in Reno, Nevada. Subsequently, Dr. Hood accepted a position as the Vice President and Director of Dental Services for a non-profit medical group in Upstate New York. He chose to leave public health service in 1997 to puruse his personal interest in private practice. His committment to continuing education and utilization of new materials and techniques assures his patients that they recieve the best care possible.
Raised in a small town in Upstate New York, Dr. Hood met his wife, Mary, while attending Purdue in Indiana. Mary currently designs fire equipment for Super …Vacuum, Inc., in Loveland. Steve and Mary have been married over twenty-seven years, and they have two grown sons, Dana and Rhys, who also live in Fort Collins. Mary and Steve are quite active in local volleyball. Steve also enjoys running, mountain biking and music.
