Dr. Hopmann was born in Portland, Oregon but his family moved to Vancouver, Washington when he was 2. He has lived here ever since. He attended Columbia Academy for high school, then went on to Clark College for one year. Dr. Steve then transferred to Pacific Union College in Napa Valley, California. He did a one-year internship in Medical Technology at Portland Adventist Hospital before entering and completing dental school at Loma Linda University in Southern California.
Dr. Steve came to Vancouver in 1984 to join New Horizons Family Dentistry. He has practiced general dentistry at their Fourth Plain/Andresen location for over 23 years. He is an active member of the Clark County Dental Society and belongs to the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Hopmann has been married to Vicki for over 30 years. They have eight adopted children plus a dog (Ginger), a cat (Little Man) and a parakeet. The …Hopmanns love outdoor family activities like boating, water skiing, camping and snow skiing. In his spare time, Dr. Steve likes to scuba dive and go camping with the family.
