Summary
Steven Iszkula, DMD
Every day I wake up happy to have the best job in the world in the greatest city. I am very fortunate to get to work with such great patients, staff and doctors. I still cannot believe that I get to help give people the perfect smiles that they deserve. It is such a rewarding job.
Education
In order to become an orthodontist, I attained the following certificates of education:
Bachelor of Science in Biological Science, University of Pittsburgh
Doctor of Dental Medicine, University of Pittsburgh
Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, University of Pittsburgh
Continuing Education
I keep current in all of the latest breakthroughs in the field of orthodontics to insure our patients the most beautiful results in the shortest amount of time. Orthodontics is a quickly changing field and my education stressed the importance of staying current with the newest concepts. We have had additional training in some of the latest technologies such as Invisalign …and the Damon System to help our patients achieve results that are second to none.
In the Office
I love meeting new patients and families. I have learned so much from the patients that I treat. Orthodontics is great because the treatment time allows you to develop relationships with your patients. I love getting to know my patients, whether it is talking about school or sports or whatever else is going on in their lives, my patients have taught me a lot!
Our office has the best and nicest staff in the world. They make every appointment fun. We have video games and a child play area that looks like a silo and has a fireman's pole! Our building is shaped like a barn and is a must see.
Our team is the absolute best. We have great staff retention- most of our staff having been with our team for over 10 years. They care about each and every patient as well as their families and they will do anything to make your experience in our office memorable.
Family and Community
I returned to Erie County after spending 11 years studying to be an orthodontist in Pittsburgh. I married my high school sweetheart, Jill, and we have two boys named Benjamin and Eli. I enjoy working out, running, hiking, biking, reading and spending time with my family and friends.
I have always been dedicated to giving back to the community, having volunteered at the Family House in Pittsburgh during my dental education. Since returning to Erie, I have initiated the process of establishing a Smiles for a Lifetime - Erie Chapter. This is a non-profit charity which donates complimentary cases to patients who are unable to afford orthodontic treatment.
