Dr. Steven Alan Kamenir, MD

We first met Dr. Kamenir 7 years ago when my daughter underwent open heart surgery at 3 days old at Albany Med, and to this day I still could not say one bad thing about him. He answers all questions, no matter how silly they may seem, without making you feel uneducated. The kindness and compassion he shows with the kids (I usually have to bring my rambunctious 3-year-old to my daughter's appointments since we are about 2 hours away) is impeccable. I never leave the office wondering or feeling unsure. He does not rush through the appointments and on to the next. It is also comforting to know that I can call with any concerns and he is always prompt to get back to me. While the 2 hour drive isn't ideal, we actually look forward to her yearly appointment, and I wouldn't change her to a cardiologist a minute down the road from home if given the chance.

I read other reviews. Yes, He is everything they said and more. My three kids have been patients of his for over 6 years and we will continue with him as long as needed. I would def reccomend him!

Ok, so Dr. K wasn't the smoothest man, but his kindness toward our child and his explanations to us were great. We were very pleased with our care from the front desk to the the 3 different women who performed the tests. Dr. K is like many very intelligent people, just a wee bit awkward. Don't let that put you off! We felt we were in excellent hands.

Dr. Kamenir is amazing! He is soft spoken and easy to talk to. He doesn't talk down to you like some doctors do, he talks to you at your level. Our family just adores him!!
