Dr. Steven Paul Kiefer, MD

I’m so so scared..someone please tell me how did you do after your surgery? I’m scheduled for later in the month. I’m in so much pain right now. I’ve had surgery twice before by John Gilbert. Which was one GREAT Doctor! I’d love to know he would be doing my surgery.

My family met Dr Keifer in 2012 when my husband had surgery for a brain aneurysm. He was very direct about what to expect (I like a doctor that gets to the point, no sugar coating). Surgery went well and we continue to visit for follow-ups and checking on another aneurysm. I trust Dr. Keifer and appreciate the work that he does.

I was in alot of pain and after a MRI I was sent to him from another dr. He did surgery and he was wonderful and so is his staff. I am in no pain now Thanks to him. Thank you so much. I would recommend him and have recommended him. Thank you so much again

Dr. Kiefer preformed a craniectomy on my husband yesterday and the suture work is the best I’ve ever seen. The surgery went perfectly. He is very professional and meticulous. I believe that is what makes him such a great surgeon. He has been extremely caring and helpful to my husband and I every time we see him. I am so thankful to Dr. Kiefer. If I ever needed a neurologist, he is who I would want to see.

I went to Dr. Kiefer after I had already had a spinal fusion 4 years earlier which was giving me problems again, he did an MRI and said he thought he could help me, 3 weeks after surgery I developed a bone infection, I was in terrible pain, after having me come back about 3 times in a month, he finally took blood test which showed the infection, he then turned me over to an infectious disease Dr. I am crippled, probable from the infection, I'm sure a lot of damage was done in the month he hesitated to test me for infection, he saw me a few more times always saying I was doing OK, after one year he dropped me, like I said I am crippled, in excruciating pain, and taking antibiotics for life, he also has the worst bed side manner you can imagine...

It says not rated because I can’t imagine a rating for him, unless it’s a minus 1,000., but I have to give him at least one star for my voice to be heard. Believe me , he doesn’t deserve even one starIf your body and health is important to you, then please, don’t go to this doctor!! I’ve had to learn the hard way.

I was referred to him for a fusion. We found him to be a very excellent surgeon. Dr. Keifer and his staff were very friendly and helpful. I have no pain anymore and I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Dr. Keifer.

Was told that I just need too wait and it'll get better and that he didn't know why I couldn't feel my legs or why they are weak .. just go home and wait it out .... Needless to say I'll be looking for a new doctor

Please don't waste your time like I did and go to this Dr. I am in severe pain and have lost my job because I can not perform job duties. Dr was very rude and made me feel as if I have a low pain tolerance. I have had a previous fusion and am now experiencing worse symptoms than before. I wouldn't want my worst enemy to go to this so called Dr.
