Dr. Steven Cochran Klein, MD

I visited Dr. Klein for my dysautonomia. Initially, I thought he was great, taking me more seriously than other doctors. At my most recent appointment, he told me to stop my medication without tapering. After a few days, I felt much more tired than usual. I sent him a message and asked if this was due to stopping the medication. He responded that I was lazy and blamed my symptoms on deconditioning. This advice was inappropriate and made incorrect assumptions. As I also told him, I am normally very active and even continued to get in regular movement during the worsened fatigue. Dr. Klein suggested high-intensity exercise four days a week for 40 minutes. However, doing this type of workout suddenly could be harmful if I was actually bedbound as he suggested. There is also no way I would be able to complete this safely because I faint during exercise, which is the reason I started seeing him. As I tried to explain to him, if I just did not like exercising or found it hard to motivate… myself, I would not waste my time going to a cardiologist. He did not address the medication issue at all. This experience of having my medical concerns ignored and being accused of being a lazy liar has been very distressing.

I changed from a HP Doctor to Dr. Klein. I am very impressed with the way he treats you. He spends a lot of time explaining everything what is going on with you, nobody ever done this. Thank you Dr. Klein I am in good hands.

I thought Dr Klein was very knowledgeable. I did encounter trouble communicating with him without an appt. Leaving a message would sometimes result in waiting up to a week for an answer. I did not feel very important to the practice.

My mother was placed in the hospital for heart failure that was pretty bad. Br Klein came in and explain what was going on and very understandable. He had good knowledge of the situation and told us options straight forward. He practice with a very attitude and for that hard times like these getting through them make it more possible.

Would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Klein. I was very anxious about seeing a cardiologist, but I knew I was in good hands with him after the first visit.
