Dr. Steven Klepps, MD

I had to have a reverse shoulder replacement. After doing research on surgeons I chose Dr. Klepps. After the first visit I was sent to physical therapy to improve movement along with getting a cortizone injection in my shoulder. I had plenty of information and time to decide if I wanted to go through with the surgery. I opted to have it done. I am 8 weeks out from the surgery and cannot believe how happy I am with the results. I have no pain during normal activities, and am working hard with my physical therapist to gain as much movement back as possible. I would highly recommend Dr. Klepps if you need shoulder surgery!!!

My elderly mother went in for shoulder pain as a follow-up from the ER. Our first ever visit, Dr. Klepps couldn’t have practiced for a worse first impression. After two individuals met with my mom (student/ intern), Dr. Klepps came into the room and initially visited a few minutes. He then attempted to move my mom’s arm, she resisted and things got ugly from there. Dr. Klepps told my mom that he needed to move her arm to treat her. We would have been fine with that, however, his stern voice was more so scorning, intimidating and threatening. He questioned why my mom was resisting if she wanted him to treat her. SHE WAS IN TERRIBLE PAIN and this doctor was RUDE! He had the patience of a toddler. I had to tell him directly that he was rude. He immediately engaged with me, asked the student and intern if he was rude and told them to leave the room. Folks, this physician was extremely unprofessional.

The best shoulder surgeon I have ever experienced!! He fixed my R shoulder!! My L shoulder was fixed twice and while the results were good, Dr Klepps results were much better!! Range of motion is better, as well as much less pain!! A+++++++++++++

The wait at Dr. Klepps' office can vary greatly. On 3 occasions I waited less than 10 minutes; another time it was roughly a half hour. Staff are courteous. Dr. Klepps is very approachable and happy to answer questions without using too much medical jargon. He never makes me feel that I'm asking a stupid question. He has a good sense of humor when prompted. Regarding time spent with me, I would prefer more than the typical 10 minutes. This seems to be the industry standard for orthopedic surgeons. With other orthopods, I have actually had to REQUEST that I see the doctor; otherwise I was limited to seeing the PA. This is not an issue with Dr. Klepps. Klepps is known to be the "go to" guy for shoulders in Billings. I think he is highly accomplished; we are lucky to have him here.
