Dr. Steven Glen Klotz, MD

Simply doesn’t show up. He left me sitting in the waiting room for an hour. Unacceptable!

Dr. Klotz in my experience has been awesome. He is taking the time to find out how to fix my problems. This is my first time talking to a psychiatrist and I was a little nervous. He was so nice and really took the time to explain everything to me and find out what steps to take to help me. Every visit it doesn't matter how many questions I have he answers them and doesn't make me feel dumb for asking them. He makes sure I fully understand the medicine he is recommending and wants to hear what I think of his recommendation before moving forward. He is kind and really cares about how I feel and what I think. My experiences have all been good with him, and he is the kind of person that really wants to help me find what will work best.

Dr.Klotz took a great deal of time with each of my twins. He was the first doctor to point out that their language issues lead to the incorrect medication from another psychiatrist.

Dr Klotz helped my daughter. Listened to our concerns. Answered all our questions. Bringing my son to see Dr Klotz

He is aggressive, he yells at his patients, and he threatens them. I will never ever recommend this person to anyone, and I'll warn everyone to stay away! And he stormed out of his office and hid for the last 15 minutes of our scheduled appointment while I called the director of the organization he is temporarily working at.. Highly unprofessional!

Dr. Klotz is a fine doctor. However see patients in his home which is in a high end development of $300K+ homes. His "office" is on the same floor as his family's bedrooms. There is no divide between office and home at all. It's a rather bizarre set up. To top that off his home is a disgusting filthy mess. He owns several dogs who have the run of his house. In the time I visited him there it was clear the place literally was never vacuumed! There was a thick layer of black dog hair on every step leading up to his "office". Anyone with allergies would be oppressed by the air quality in that place. In fact Dr. Klotz himself was clearly affected by the lack of cleanliness in his own home. His breathing and snorting ,sniffling and coughing was so loud that it was annoying. The "office" had papers and documents of all sorts strewn all over the floor.The waiting area was a drop off place for scuba gear for a family of four. Tanks, flippers, suits etc. There it remained for the entire time… he was my doc. Unbelievable. He was consistently late but intolerant of anyone who didn't show up on time. I never received a receipt to submit to my Flex account. He simply didn't provide them. It would take days for him to return a phone call which at times left me without meds. He will not call scripts into Express Scripts Often times PCP's are unable to reach him for day or even weeks. Sometimes they never get in contact with him. Once I had to cancel an appointment a few hours before the scheduled time. I was suddenly without transportation. I didn't no show. I called him but since it wasn't the 24hr notice all docs prefer having he charged me full price for the appointment. It was out of my control but that was irrelevant. All things considered I believe Dr.Klotz is an extremely competent physician. I trusted his diagnosis and he was never wrong. Because of that I put up with it. However that came to end when I waited 30min in a heap of dog hair and moldy stinky scuba gear before he called to let a family member know that he wouldn't be there at all. He was to call me back to reschedule but of course I knew he wouldn't so I took the initiative. I left three voice mails and two emails. I never heard from him again.That was very upsetting disturbing irresponsible and unprofessional..He really let me down.There's a twist to this story too. This was the second time Dr Klotz stood me up. It happened 4yrs ago to me and 3 other patients who sat around waiting for him for 3hrs. This was at another office location at the time. We thought there may have been an emergency. Well there wasn't. He stood us up. So much for being a competent doctor.

Bad experience. He was intimidating an downright agressive. I have never had an experience like I had with him with any other doctor. In my opinion, he has anger management issues, problems with his ego and a dislike for women. I would never go back.

I took my son to see Dr. Klotz for 6 months. In that time he never submitted anything to my insurance company, he was working out of his home which was disgustingly dirty, and we had to find a new doctor because Dr. Klotz never returned my calls and my son ran out of his medications.

Dr.Klotz is brilliant and very dedicated to his work and patients. He's not an oddball as many Psych docs are known to be either. Approachable.Funny.Down to earth.Willing to work WITH you.In response to the comment about not returning phone calls and cancelling appts:That was in 2009.He worked solo ie no receptionist. Perhaps it seemed like a cost effective way to do business at the time but was obviously a mistake. Dr. Klotz was the only Physician at the office he worked at the time. It was an impossible task for him to be the Doc AND the receptionist!Can't blame him for trying.If you're in search for an expert Psychiatrist,you've found him!

the new office is beautifulno waiting as Dr Klotz spaced out his appointments; he is now also taking manyinsurances
